Let's get to know Sara:
·Tell us a bit about you:
I am A mother of 2, Grandmother to 3, and mommy to 2 fur babies.
We live in the beautiful State of Colorado. I Love All things yarny, I Love to design Crochet patterns, I Love to Crochet, I Like to knit, and I am learning Tunisian Crochet.
I Love to try new techniques, and I love the challenge of trying new and different yarns. When I am not at home crocheting out on my covered deck,
I am exploring the Wonderful Rocky Mountains.
·How did you decide on the name for your shop/blog?
I had made a few items for my Pooches, Maximo and Rosie. And Someone Said, " isn't Maximo and Posh Pooch in his new sweater". So "Posh Pooch Designs Dog Clothes" was born! I later shortened it to "Posh Pooch Designs".
·How long has your shop/blog been open and why did you start it?
We will have been open 5 years this October. I am planning few things for the celebration, but they are all surprises for now.
·What is your favorite item/s in your shop or on your blog at the moment?
My Favorite item I should say is My "Colorado Dog Hoodie" and "Lace Pumpkin Wrap Shawl"
I do both Paid and Free Crochet pattern, as well as, Custom made items.
Most of my Patterns and items for sale are for the Pooches, but I have many for humans as well.
·Where do you get your inspiration from?
I find inspiration in the mountains and in nature. But I also, love to walk through the children's departments and accessory departments in the stores at the change of the seasons.
You can see what colors, styles and textures are hot.
·What other things do you like to do in your spare time?
We love to four wheeling our jeep, or just go for a drive in the convertible. We love the Mountains, but I always have a crochet bag with me.
·What would be the one piece of advice would you give to a person setting up their own
Be original, find your own niche. You can step out of your niche, as you grown in your business, but don't be like everyone else, or you will not be noticed.
Do you want to be, one among many, that no one sees, or the one they remember.
