Guest Blogger Opportunity
If you’re looking to get more exposure to your crochet/fiber arts blog or website, then guest blogging on The Country Willow is a great way to achieve this.
For those who blog or are thinking of blogging, being a guest blogger has it’s advantages:
The payment for guest blogging is done through cross promotion. At the end of your article, you can provide more information such as your blog, website or Facebook page for our audience to find more of your work.
The goal of The Country Willow Blog is to share information. I’m not looking for bloggers with the primary objective to sell things or use our community as a potential selling ground. The articles should be helpful and informational.
What I’m Looking For
I’m looking for informative and well-written blog posts on topics of interest to crocheters of all skill levels. This can include tutorials, book and yarn reviews, projects you’ve completed, or interesting stitches you’ve used. Someone who will commit to 1 post.
Guest Blog Post Guidelines
I do have a few rules that you’ll need to follow in order to have your guest blog post published here. Their purpose is to ensure the content you submit is informative, relevant, and easy for me to publish quickly. Your blog post should:
1) Be a minimum of 350 words.
2) Be informative, well-written, and proofread for grammatical and typographical errors.
3) Include a headline, body text, and byline.
The byline should be a sentence or two describing who you are what you do, plus a link back to your site. Your byline will appear at the bottom of your post, but I’ll also write a short introductory sentence at the top of the post that will include your website link.
4) Include ALL of the information—links, link text, images, etc.—you want the published version of your post to include.
5) Include at least one image that is 500 pixels wide.
6) Include links that are relevant to the topic should you choose to include them.
7) Be submitted in Word 2013 or higher.
8) Not appear anywhere else on the Internet (this includes not re-posting the content on your blog)
9) Not infringe on copyright laws (this includes photos as well as text).
Don’t let these rules scare you off. I want your guest blog post to be as successful as possible and get positive notice from Google, which means more exposure and traffic for both of us. If you have any questions about them, let me know when you submit your post idea (see below).
Review and Publication Process
Once you’ve submitted your blog post, I’ll review it and let you know within 48 to 72 hours when it will be published and when you can expect it to appear on this blog.
