Remixing a pattern….hmmm, what does this mean? Well, it is where we are taking a designers design and adding our own personal tweaks. We are not changing their patterns at all. I am sure that everyone has strayed from a written pattern and added their own changes to make it theirs. I am doing just that, I am adding a flower embellishment to mine. I changed the colors up and also decided to go with a different color band.
I am doing this along with 11 other designers whom all have chosen a different pattern to remix. Be sure to check all of them out.
I chose to remix the Sugar Plum Dreams Elf Hat by Kirsten Holloway Designs. I chose this with my grand-daughter in mind. I did make it in the 3-month size and it worked up rather quickly. I love the look of this stitch (knit stitch) and part of the reason for this remix (this stitch scared me) haha.
My life has been a nightmare for the last 2 months, so I didn’t get the chance to write out this flower pattern. Please try my go-to flower here.
Please after you remix this pattern, please come back and share your photos so I may share them with readers as well. Thank you all!!
If you've ever wanted to learn to "knit" with your crochet hook, the Waterlily Waltz headband is an easy and fun introduction to the crochet "knit stitch (also referred to as the Waistcoat Stitch). This short video tutorial will go over how to work this stitch in rows as well as how to increase and decrease. Find the free headband pattern on my site as part of the New Year, New Stitch CAL from CAL Central!http://www.kirstenhollowaydesigns.com/2018/02/knit-stitch-crochet-headband-pattern-waterlily-waltz.html
