![]() One of my favorite patterns. This hat is made for teens to adults. Made with clusters, this gives the hat a flower look. It'a a fun hat to work up and my tester, Lisa Egan, loves this set. It works up quickly. Nostalgia Hat and Fingerless Gloves Hat Materials: Any color #4 worsted weight yarns will work H/6-4.5 mm hook Gauge: 2 in by 2 in = 6 sts by 3 rows Stitches Used: CH – Chain SC -single crochet HDC -half double crochet DC -double crochet ST -stitch SL ST -slip stitch SP -space YO -yarn over Special Stitches: To work a 2-dc cluster: (use 1 ch) * yo, insert hook in ch indicated, yo pull up loop, yoand draw through 2 loops on hook* repeat from * to * once more, yo and drawthrough 3 loops on hook. To work a 3-dc cluster: (use next 3 dc’s) * yo, insert hook in next dc, yo and pull uploop, yo and draw through 2 loops on hook* repeat from * to * 2 more times yo anddraw through 4 loops on hook. Note: ch1’s, ch2’s, and ch3’s at beginning of row, does NOT count as a stitch, unless otherwise stated. To join: sl st in top of 1st sc, or dc st of the row you are on) Hat: Ch3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in 3rd ch from the hook, 10 dc into same st, sl st to top of ch 3 (12 dc’s) Row 1: ch 2, 2 dc in same st, 2 dc in the next st and in each st around, sl st to join. (24 dc’s) Row 2: ch 2, 2 dc in same st, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st*, repeat from *to * around sl st to join. (36 dc’s) Row 3: ch 2, 2 dc in same st, dc in the next 2 sts, *2 dc in the next st, dc in the next 2 sts*, repeat from * to * around sl st to join. (48 dc’s) Row 4: ch 2, 2 dc in same st, dc in the next 3 sts, *2 dc in the next st, dc in the next 3 sts*, repeat from * to * around sl st to join. (60 dc’s) Row 5: ch 2, 2 dc in same st, dc in the next 4 sts, *2 dc in the next st, dc in the next 4 sts *, repeat from * to * around sl st to join. (72 dc’s) Row 6-7: ch 2(counts as 1st dc), dc in 1st st and each stitch around. Join with sl st in top of ch2. (72 dc’s) Row 8: ch 2, turn, skip 1st dc, dc in next st, ch 3, work 2-dc cluster in 3rd ch fromhook, *work 3:dc cluster into next dc, ch 3 work 2-dc cluster in 3rd ch from the hook* repeat from * to * across to last dc, 2-dc cluster in last dc . Sl st to join. Row 9: ch 3, turn, dc in 1st st, (skip next ch sp, 3 dc in next 3-dc cluster) across to lastch sp, skip last ch sp, 2 dc in last dc. Sl st to join. Row 10-11: ch 3(counts as 1st dc), dc in next dc and each dc round. Sl st to join. Row 12-13: repeat row 8 and 9 Sl st to join. Row 14-15: repeat row 6 and 7. Sl st to join. Join with sl st to top of 1st dc. (11-2dc clusters) Row 5: ch 3, turn, dc in 1st st, ( skip next ch sp, 3 dc in next 3-dc cluster) across to lastch sp, skip last ch sp, 2 dc in last dc. Join with sl st to top of 1st dc (11-3dc groups) Row 6-7: ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in next dc and each dc round. Join in top of beginning ch3. (33 dc’s) Fasten off. Otherside of cuff (glove part). Join yarn with a sc on the top side of cuff at the seam. The yarn will be attached here, so the seam will be in the palm of the glove. Hi! I can't believe you are giving this pattern away for free!! I love it, it has long been on my short list of 'patterns I want'!! However, I can not get the Cleanprint or the PDF option to work for me! It's probably something I'm doing wrong, lol! If you can tell me why, I would so appreciate it! Thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern!!
