Adding crochet beauty to the world, one stitch at a time.
![]() It has been a long process for me to get back to writing patterns. As many of you know, I lost my mother last month. I have been depressed and couldn't concentrate at all. I had no drive to crochet or produce any craft. I am happy that I can share this free pattern to you all. This pattern is worked up in extended single crochet (esc) and extended double crochet Edc), as well as loops. The band is created with cables. This adorable Loopy Kate Hat pattern is perfect for baby girls. Made with soft yarn and embellished with a cute button, this hat is as much fun to make as it is to give. This cute crocheted hat pattern will fit babies ages 12-24 months and is a simple crochet project that works up quickly and easily. With a few hours to spare, you can have a new adorable crocheted baby hat to fit the beautiful one in your life. You could also make a handful of these cute hats and donate them to your local hospital or shelter. I hope you enjoy making this pattern and please share. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I know the feeling as I lost my father just over 12 years ago. It's very difficult to overcome and get back to being yourself.

Condolences on the recent passing of your mother. Thank you for sharing your loss and for being the person you are. Your love of the arts and the way that you repeatedly give to others is what always brings me back to your site.
