Introducing Good Golly Miss Molly 12 months crochet top a free pattern to make for you baby girl! This top would look awesome paired with leggings or a diaper cover.  The top is adorned with shells and the bottom lays beautifully!

I Love This Cotton 2 skeins in Pewter and I skein in Pink

H Hook

2 small buttons

Tapestry Needle


Gauge: hdc 3rd row 2x2 = 5 rows and 9 stitches

Stitches:

ch- chain

sl st - slip stitch st(sts)=stitch (stitches) sc – single crochet

hdc – half double crochet

hdc 3rd loop

dc-double crochet tr – treble crochet

t-ch- turning chain

rsc- reverse single crochet

CA- color A – pewter CB – color B - pink RS- right side

sp- space rep-repeat


With CA ch 75

hdc in 2nd ch from hk, hdc in next 11 sts, 3 hdc in the next st, hdc in next 10 sts, 3 hdc in the next st, hdc in the next 24 sts, 3 hdc in the next st, hdc in the next 10 sts, 3 hdc in the next st, hdc in the  last 13 sts, hdc in t-ch, ch 2, turn (80 hdc)

Row 2:
Hdc in 3rd loop in the next 14 sts, 3 hdc in the next st, hdc in the 3rd loop in the next 12 sts, 3 hdc in the next st, hdc in the 3rd loop in the next 26 sts, 3 hdc in the next st, hdc in the 3rd loop in the next 12 sts, 3 hdc in the next st, hdc in the 3rd loop in the next 12 sts, hdc top of t-ch, ch 2 turn (88 hdc)

NOTE: you will slip st and join to work in the round


 
Row 10 (RS) (CB):

Join new color with slip st, ch 3, 2 dc same st, sk 2 sts, sc in next st, *ch 2, 3 dc in next st, sk 2 sts, sc in next st*;  rep from * to * around, sc in bottom of ch.

 
Row 11(CA):

Ch 1 Sc in top of ch, sc in next 2 dc, sc in next sc, ch 3,*sc in next 3 dc, sc in next sc, ch 3* repeat around from * to * sl st to ch . Turn

 
Row 12 (CB):

Ch 1, Sc in next st, (3 dc, ch2, sc) in next ch 3 sp, and (3dc, ch 2, sc) in each ch 3 sp around.sl st to ch 1

  Row 13:

 Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in the next 3 dc, *ch3, sc in next sc, sc in the next 3 dc,* rep from * to * ch3, sc in last sc, sl into first sc. Turn

 

Row 14 (CB):

Ch 1, Sc in next st, (sc, ch 2, dc) in next ch 3 sp, and (sc, ch 2, 3 dc) in each ch

3 sp around.sl st to ch 1. Row 15 (CA):

Ch 2, hdc in all stitches around with one in each ch 3 sp.

NOTE: From here forward there will be no ch’s instead pull up a loop the same as your starting st and st into the desired st.

 

Row 16:

3 dc is same as loop, dc in next 8 sts, 3 dc next st, rep 10 more times, dc in remaining sts.


 

Row 17:

Sk 1st dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in next 10 sts, 3 dc next st, rep 10 more times, dc in remaining sts.

Ch 1, rsc into st to the left, keep repeating this around. Finish off and weave in ends.

Neckline (RS):

Sl st to join with CB, do the rsc all the way around. Finish off and weave in ends.

Ch 1 sc in the next st and each st around. (30sc) Row 2-4:

Ch 1, sc in the next st and each st around (30sc) Finish off and weave in ends.

My favorite crochet hook is G (4.00 mm)
