Finish off and weave in ends.

To finish hat off, double strand the tapestry needle and weave the needle in and out of every stitch around, pulling the yarn tightly to close the hole. When you finish the first round, repeat the process of weaving the needle the opposite way to make sure the threads are woven. Keep weaving until you are sure the hat is securely closed.

Optional:  Add a pompom, leave open, or add a button.

On the closing of the ribbing, add a button.
