Across The Sea Crochet Scarf
Welcome back to The Country Willow!  Today I am offering you this beautiful, free Across The Sea free crochet pattern for you to enjoy.  This mirrored scarf measures 10 inches wide by 66 inches long. I made this using cotton yarn in Turquoise and Emerald. Perfect for that cold winter day or even that beautiful brisk Spring day.

​Materials:

 Premier Yarns Deborah Norville Collection Cotton Soft Silk
             2 CA Turquoise    2 CB Emerald
I Hook 5.5mm
​Tapestry Needle for joining and weaving in ends
 
Stitches:
CA -Color A
CB – Color B
ch(s) – chain(s)
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sp(s) – space(s)
st(es) – stitch(es)
tch – turning chain
rep - repeat
beg – beginning
FPdc – front post double crochet
YO- yarn over

Special Stitch:
FPdc- Yo on hook, insert hook into hole next to the post of the next stitch, on the “hook side,  Bring the hook back to the front of the fabric from behind the post, to the hole farther from the hook, Yo and draw through a loop, bringing it through both sides of the fabric. (3 loops remaining on hook), Yo and draw through 2 loops on hook. (2 loops remaining on hook), Yo and draw through remaining 2 loops on hook.

Row 1: CA - Dc in 6th ch from hook, (counts as dc, ch 2) dc in the same st, *sk 3 sts, (dc, ch 2, dc) in the next st, Rep from * across. dc in last st. turn
 
Row 2: ch 3, FPdc around the next st, *3 dc into the next ch 2, FPdc around the next 2 dc, rep from * across, dc top of ch 3. turn
 
Row 3:  CB - ch 5, (counts as dc, ch 2) dc in the same st, *sk 3 sts, (dc, ch 2, dc) in the next st, Rep from * across. dc in last st. turn
Row 4: ch 3, FPdc around the next st, *3 dc into the next ch 2, FPdc around the next 2 dc,  rep from * across, dc top of ch 3. Turn

Row 5:  CA - ch 5, (counts as dc, ch 2) dc in the same st, *sk 3 sts, (dc, ch 2, dc) in the next st, Rep from * across. dc in last st. turn

Row 6: ch 3, FPdc around the next st, *3 dc into the next ch 2, FPdc around the next 2 dc, rep from * across, dc top of ch 3. turn

Row 7:  CB-ch 1, sc same st, sc in the next st and in each st around. turn

Row 8-10:  – rep row 7

Row 11: ch 3, tr in the next st and in each st across. turn,

Row 12: ch 1, sc same st, sc in the next st and in each st around. turn

Row 13 - 14:  – rep row 7 
With right side up, sl st CA to beginning of row. Working the other side of the scarf

Row 1:  - ch 5 (counts as dc, ch 2) dc in the same st, *sk 3 sts, (dc, ch 2, dc) in the next st, Rep from * across. dc in last st. turn

Row 2: ch 3, FPdc around the next st, *3 dc into the next ch 2, FPdc around the next 2 dc, rep from * across, dc top of ch 3. turn
 
Row 3:  CB - ch 5, (counts as dc, ch 2) dc in the same st, *sk 3 sts, (dc, ch 2, dc) in the next st, Rep from * across. dc in last st. turn

Row 4: ch 3, FPdc around the next st, *3 dc into the next ch 2, FPdc around the next 2 dc,  rep from * across, dc top of ch 3. Turn

Row 5:  CA - ch 5, (counts as dc, ch 2) dc in the same st, *sk 3 sts, (dc, ch 2, dc) in the next st, Rep from * across. dc in last st. turn

Row 6: ch 3, FPdc around the next st, *3 dc into the next ch 2, FPdc around the next 2 dc, rep from * across, dc top of ch 3.

Finish off and weave in ends.
Whip stitch ends together to for infinity scarf or leave and use as a regular scarf

How many skeins do you need of each color for Across The Sea? What a beautiful scarf!
