Monday’s Smorgasbord for Country Willow Designs. I am excited to be back from my long hiatus. I suffered from extreme depression and I am finally on the path to recovery. Thanks to all that supported me during this time.
So, this weeks Smorgasbord consists of many free crochet patterns from some very talented designers. Some can be used as gifts, Christmas presents, and home decor.
Remixing a pattern….hmmm, what does this mean? Well, it is where we are taking a designers design and adding our own personal tweaks. We are not changing their patterns at all. I am sure that everyone has strayed from a written pattern and added their own changes to make it theirs. I am doing just that, I am adding a flower embellishment to mine. I changed the colors up and also decided to go with a different color band.
Scarf – Crochet – Infinity Marked With An X is by far my most favorite scarf to date. I have done many but I love the stitches combined in this, not to mention the color.
Now to the colors I used. I chose to use the Vanna’s Choice yarn in Sage and Wool-Ease in Pumpkin to design this scarf. I love both yarns and both colors and I am so glad to have picked them because they look incredible!!
I personally like the look of a classic scarf. I really like the tassels on this too. My daughter loves tassels and has decided to claim this scarf as her own. Read more
Crocheted Scarf – Autumn Red was designed using the beautiful Autumn Red yarn from Caron’s Simply Soft. The openness of this scarf is perfect for the fall when it’s a bit chilly but not extremely cold.
The other thing I like about this Crocheted Scarf – Autumn Red is the kind of floral trellis look it has going on. I love making crocheted scarves and anything crocheted at all. It looks like crochet is making a comeback and this makes me happy! Read more
Crochet Earwarmer Pattern -Three’s & V’s is for the one in your life that doesn’t like the cold or hats. A jogger or runner who doesn’t like wearing hats! How about someone like me who is middle-aged and has hot flashes. lol I refuse to wear a hat.
You may want to wear this in the Fall, Winter or Spring. You could use cotton yarn or a lightweight yarn if you wanted something lighter.
I am bringing to you this Free Crochet Rug Pattern-Cobblestone for you to make and enjoy for your home, office, anywhere you want to add a rug. I made mine using black and white because my bathroom is gray and white where this will be the Free Crochet Rug Pattern-Cobblestones new home.
You can make the Free Crochet Rug Pattern-Cobblestone by doing as directed or changing each row of color. Black and white stripes would also have been nice. The Free Crochet Rug Pattern-Cobblestone rug measures 19.5 inches high and 29 inches wide. I used a super bulky yarn and this works up fairly quickly. Have fun and pleaseeeeeeee share your pictures with me.
If you like it please give it a ♥ on Ravelry and be sure to add you projects in Pinterest and Ravelry!! Thank you so much!!
Man, this It’s Your Day Crochet Spa Set was a fun set to create!! I made 2 washcloths, 4 face scrubbies and a Bath Pouf all in one day! This is really a quickly worked piece of art and will make great gifts for birthdays, Christmas and even Mother’s Day!
This set is worked using the Puff Stitch and FPdc and BPdc. I would say this is an intermediate pattern. I used cotton for this and it makes a perfect set.
Monday’s Smorgasbord of free patterns this week consists of many hot crochet looks. We have some home decor, hats, infinity scarves and even a dress. I love the designers in my group and I will expand more. So, take your time and look around. Chose your favorite and share it with me.
Saturday Crochet Hoard this week consists of Carryalls (bags, market bags, totes, purses, backpacks). What a great carryall to have on hand when going to the beach. You can even take it to concerts, trips, parents and anywhere else you need to pack some items in.
