I was invited by the very creative Fiber Artisian/ Deborah Ziegler. I met Deborah in Crochet Bloggers Facebook Group. Here I discovered the talent of many beautiful works from crochet bloggers from all over the world. I will introduce you to three of these amazing bloggers at the end of this post.
If this is your first time here, my name is Sherianne and welcome to The Country Willow-The Willow Whispers Blog. I welcome you to look around and be pleased by what you may find here.
Onto the 4 questions.
Why do I do what I do?
Let’s see, I love color, I love yarn, I love to be creative, I love to share. The feeling of accomplishment I get when I finish a crochet pattern is a feeling I can’t get anywhere else. I love being creative and if I had to stop, I would be so lost and beside myself.
How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I don’t believe it’s different. It contains a certain energy that flows from my heart, to my fingers, through the yarn and onto paper to be written. Everything I make is from my heart and I hope to pass on the same energy to another soul. I like to develop my own designs most of the time, although I love taking workshops to learn new techniques (these then tend to end up in my UFO pile!)
How does my creative process work?
Slow and steady. Discipline is my main problem. I have to stay focused on what I am doing or I will have a million and one WIP’s. Sketching out a picture helps with the creative process. Knowing the stitches and sizes is also something that needs to be done a head of time.
What am I working on now?
Right now, I just finished a beautiful Christmas Tutu.
